TAIWANESE boy band Lollipop F admitted that the time they spent away from showbiz was a ‘difficult’ one.
Originally a six-member group known as just Lollipop, the group re-formed to become Lollipop F and now consists of four members: Owodog, Fabien, William and A-wei. Two members – Prince and LilJay – left to pursue a solo career in 2009.
The group then took a six-month break before re-introducing themselves as a quartet under the name Lollipop F. They released their latest album Fourth Dimension last November. The additional ‘F’ in their name stands for ‘four’.
The group won two awards at the Singapore Entertainment Awards 2011 – Most Popular Music Video and OCBC Titanium Popular Boy Group. It marked their first appearance here as Lollipop F.
A-Wei said: ‘It was a difficult time but we stood united and pulled through. We took the chance to spend more time on songwriting and we are glad that our hard work has been recognised.’
Check out their interview and performance at the e-Awards, along with other winners such Se7en, Alien Huang and Anthony Neely, on RazorTV.
